JPRA served as Architect of Record for Turnberry’s spectacular Aventura Expansion. The design architect, Carlos Zapata Studio, employed Zapata’s signature cantilevered elements and slanted roof lines. Focal points include the 84 X 50 foot glass curtain wall and the 350 ft skylight. The expansion wing also features a selection of chef-driven restaurants, Treats Food Hall, the 7,500 square-foot, indoor-outdoor LEVEL THREE rooftop venue, and additions to the museum-worthy Arts Aventura Mall collection, including the landmark 93-foot-tall Aventura Slide Tower by Carsten Höller, Gorillas in the Mist play fountain by The Haas Brothers, and an iconic LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana.
The Carsten Höller Slide on the piazza provides a unique opportunity to climb to the top and look out over the mall and Miami before taking the exhilarating slide down.
JPRA was also the architect for previous expansion/renovation work at Aventura.
