ARCHITECT/CONSTRUCTION SITE COORDINATOR+

We are currently seeking an Architect/Construction Site Coordinator with substantial professional skills acquired from prior work experience and education. This person will provide oversite and coordination with construction teams, subcontractors and JPRA staff at the construction site in San Jose, California. This position will also be responsible for developing/reviewing technical construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit, as well as shop drawing and submittal review. We anticipate the length of this position to be 18 – 24 months.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent JPRA Architects by providing oversite and coordination duties at the job site to ensure success.
  • Ensure contract compliance, includes but is not limited to construction contract, terms and conditions, construction documents, and specifications.
  • Capable of carrying out independent assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with contractors and consultants.
  • Review shop drawings and other submittals from the General Contractor.
  • Reports to the Project Manager in charge of the assigned project.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Architecture, Construction Management or related degree.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • 5 years’ minimum experience in AutoCAD/Revit developing technical skills.
  • Previous commercial and/or retail experience preferred.

INTERIOR DESIGNER+

We are currently seeking an Interior Designer who has a great passion for design, is highly adaptable and shows exceptional innovation and initiative.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Member of a team that performs interior design assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and fabrication documents.
  • Develop space planning concepts, generating program documents, and test fits when required.
  • Select and research project design materials and furnishings.
  • Select FF&E color palettes and material presentations, and generate specifications.
  • Prepare colored presentations, plans, details and schedules using software, as required.
  • Prepare required drawings, sketches and related plans.
